Frady was a member of IMG Academy
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer program has announced the signing of freshman midfielder Mateo Frady (Atlanta, Ga.).
"Mateo is a central midfielder from IMG Academy that we are extremely excited about joining our group," said head coach Rich Weinrebe. "He possesses high-end tools that we feel will translate quickly to our system here at UNH. He is powerful driving with the ball, closes space extremely well out of possession, has a high-end engine and a composed demeanor. Mateo has the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways, and we cannot wait for him to bring that impact to our team this season and for seasons to come."
Frady was a member of IMG Elite of MLS Next from 2022-2025 as he was a team captain in 2023-24 and 2024-25. He was named the team's MVP in 2023 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2024. Frady earned U17 National Academy All-Star, U16 National Academy All-Star and U16 MLS Showcase All-Star accolades.
Prior to his time with IMG Elite, Frady played for Atlanta United Academy from 2017-21 and Inter Atlanta from 2014-17 where he was a team captain in 2016-17.
Frady graduated from IMG Academy in 2025.
