Seniors Shine in 4-0 Win vs. NJIT on Senior Night

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior forward Elias Khodri (Lyon, France) scored two goals to lift the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team to Saturday night's 4-0 victory against NJIT on Senior Night at Wildcat Stadium.
Senior midfielder Terry Makedika (Paris, France) recorded a goal and career-high two assists for a personal-best four points, and grad student midfielder Mattéo Brossel (Toulon, France) scored UNH's other goal. Senior back Matteo Piccardo (Genova, Italy) was credited with his first two career assists.
Senior goalkeeper Scott Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio) recorded four saves in 82 minutes to combine with grad student Roark Looney (Boise, Idaho), who did not face a shot on goal, for the shutout of the Highlanders.
NJIT goalie Devin Armstrong was credited with one save.
UP NEXT
New Hampshire returns to action Oct. 31 (6pm) at UMass Lowell. The Wildcats end the regular season Nov. 4 (6pm) home against Bryant University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
UNH took a 1-0 lead at 23:21. From the left side of the penalty area, Makedika's pass was heeled by Piccardo to the middle, where Khodri half-volleyed a shot inside the right post.
Makedika extended the lead to 2-0 at 35:58 when he dribbled across the top of the penalty area and struck a shot that went over Armstrong and dipped inside the lower-right corner of the net. Piccardo's pass down the left wing sprung Makedika for the goal.
Khodri struck again at 68:26 to push the advantage to 3-0. Makedika split a pair of defenders on the left side of the box before centering the ball to Khodri, who struck a right-footed shot inside the right post.
Brossel capped the scoring at 81:16 when the Max Voigt (Oberkotzau, Germany) service from outside the top-right corner of the penalty area bounced in the middle and was headed inside the left post by the charging Brossel. Ryo Miyata(Yokohama, Japan) was credited with the secondary assist.

UNH recorded the edge in shots (12-9) and shots on goals (5-4), while NJIT recorded a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
Khodri recorded season highs in both goals (two) and points (four).
Brossel has scored two goals the past three matches.
Voigt recorded his first point of the season and second career assist.
Miyata tallied his first assist as a Wildcat.
