DeRoza has been a member of the Bermuda Under-20 national team
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer program has announced the signing of freshman Xahvi DeRoza (Warwick, Bermuda).
"Xahvi is an exciting winger with outstanding traits and potential," said head coach Rich Weinrebe. "He brings international experience with the Bermuda U20 national team and joins us from Woodstock Academy, where he was coached by Owen Finberg. Xahvi possesses explosive pace, a strong technical foundation, final 1/3 creativity and attacking instincts that will allow him to be a key contributor throughout his collegiate career. We expect him to hit the ground running here and give our attacking group a different dimension."
As a senior at Woodstock Academy in Woodstock, Conn., DeRoza posted eight goals and five assists for 21 points as the team won its second straight national championship. The team also won the Under-19 Best of the East Tournament.
DeRoza has played for the Bermuda Under-20 national team starting in 2020. He scored a hat-trick versus St. Martin in 2021.
Starting in 2018, DeRoza has been a member of the Warwick Archers. He was a team captain in 2021-22 and was named the Team MVP in 2022 and 2025. DeRoza also earned 2025 Charles Marshall Cup MVP accolades as the team won the championship.
DeRoza graduated from Woodstock Academy in 2025.
