Brossel posts his first collegiate goal
BALTIMORE – Graduate student captain Mattéo Brossel (Toulon, France) scored his first collegiate goal as the University of New Hampshire men's soccer team tied UMBC, 1-1, on Saturday evening at Retriever Soccer Park in America East action.
The Wildcats are now 3-5-4 (1-1-1 AE), while the Retrievers are 4-5-2 (0-2-1 AE).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The 'Cats had a strong scoring opportunity in the 12th minute when senior midfielder Terry Makedika (Paris, France) attempted to knock in a rebound off a shot by senior forward Elias Khodri (Lyon, France), but UMBC goalkeeper Emigdio Lopez was able to make the save.
- Senior goalkeeper Scott Williams (Cincinnati, Ohio) made a charging save on a shot by Kofi Amoah in the 17th minute.
- The Wildcats almost scored the first goal of the game in the 20th minute, but Brossel and Khodri hit the post on back-to-back shots.
- Brossel gave the 'Cats a 1-0 lead when he fired a free kick to upper left 90 from 20 yards out in the 35th minute (34:36) for his first collegiate goal.

- UMBC tied the game at 1-1 in the 72nd minute (71:00) when Jojo Ocran scored on a header off a corner kick by Amoah.
- Senior captain Matteo Piccardo (Geniva, Italy) kept the game tied when he headed a shot by Brady Geho off the goal line in the 80th minute for the 1-1 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
