Men’s Soccer Signs Sebastian Ibanez

Ibanez is transferring from NJIT
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer program has announced the signing of junior goalkeeper Sebastian Ibanez (San Miguel de Allende, Mexico). Ibanez is a transfer from NJIT.
"Sebastian Ibanez is a goalkeeper joining us from NJIT," said head coach Rich Weinrebe. "He is a confident shot-stopper with excellent ability on the ball and a strong drive to improve and make an impact. Already familiar with the America East and UNH, Sebastian is well-positioned to adjust quickly and contribute immediately this spring. His character stood out immediately within the process, and we always want to surround ourselves with good people here in Durham. Welcome Sebastian!"
Ibanez was a member of the men's soccer team at NJIT for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He attended Lincoln Memorial University as a freshman in 2023 as the team made the NCAA Super Region 2 with an 11-5-3 overall record. Ibanez was named to the South Atlantic Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
He played his club soccer at SIMA (Soccer Institute at Montverde Academy from 2021-2023. Team won the Florida Cup. Ibanez graduated from Montverde Academy in 2023.
