Volleyball Heads to Temple, Three-game Tournament (Sept. 16-17)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire volleyball team is headed to Philadelphia, Pa. this weekend for the Hilton Pinn's Landing Cherry & White Challenge with matchups against Temple University (Sept. 10; 10 AM) and Cleveland State University (Sept. 10; 4 PM) remaining.
Day 1:
Match Info – Friday, Sept. 9 (3:30 PM)
The Wildcats took down Rutgers, 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 18-25, 25-13), led by freshmen Emily Tanski (Plymouth, Mich.) who notched her fourth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 14 digs.
Day 2:
Match Info – Saturday, Sept. 10 (10 AM)

New Hampshire Scout
The Wildcats fell in straight sets to Bryant University Monday night. The Wildcats were led by Demi Muses (Orangevale, Calif.) who earned her first double-double of the season with 11 kills and 11 digs. Freshman Kennedi Smith (The Woodlands, Texas) finished with 10 kills and five digs while classmate Emily Tanski (Plymouth, Mich.) tallied nine kills on a .333 hitting percentage, and 11 digs. Senior Keelin Severtson (Delray Beach, Fla.) finished with 24 assists, bringing her season total to 254.
Rutgers Scout
After starting off the season 3-1, Rutgers went 1-2 at the Yale Invitational last weekend. The Scarlet Knights are led by junior outside hitter Meme Fletcher, who leads the team with 82 kills and freshman setter Megan Sharkey, who leads the team with 138 assists. The Wildcats are 1-6 all time against Rutgers.
Temple Scout
Temple dropped both of their matchups last weekend at the Puerto Rico Clasico, bringing them to .500 on the season. The tournament host looks to take advantage of this three home game stretch. The Owls are led by junior setter Kyra Coundourides, who leads the team in assists with 148 and junior outside hitter Izzy Rapacz, who leads the team with 58 kills. Temple is 2-5 all time when facing the Wildcats.
Cleveland State Scout
The Vikings have started out the season strong with a 4-2 record and look to keep the momentum going into this tournament. Cleveland State's dual threat involves junior setter, Gina Kilner, who leads the team with 220 assists and senior outside hitter, Grace Kauth, who paces the team with 86 kills. This will be the first ever matchup between the Wildcats and the Vikings.

New Hampshire will host Harvard University on Tuesday, Sept. 13 at Lundholm Gymnasium, concluding their six game road stint.
