Chertock Named America East Rookie of the Week

Chertock closes the season with her sixth Rookie of the Week award
BOSTON — University of New Hampshire freshman outside hitter Lucy Chertock (Danville, Calif.) was named America East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
Chertock was an anchor for the Wildcats in their matchup against Binghamton (Nov. 14), logging a team-high in kills (12, 4.00 kills/set), attack percentage (.455), points (12.5, 4.17 points/set), and digs (13, 4.33 digs/set), good for her seventh double-double of the year and third in last three games.
With the recognition, Chertock earns America East Rookie of the Week for a school record sixth time this season and marks her seventh weekly award overall, previously winning the award alongside America East Player of the Week on Sept. 3 while also winning top rookie honors on Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 21, and Oct. 28. With the win, Chertock extends her previous record for the most Rookie of the Week awards in a season for a Wildcat (five).
