Hohnbaum, Grier Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Honor recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for athletic and academic success
DURHAM, N.H. — University of New Hampshire junior middle blocker Rachel Grier (Dublin, Calif.) and senior right side hitter Meredith Hohnbaum (Indianapolis, Ind.) were both named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Grier, who holds a 4.0 GPA in Justice Studies and Political Science, earned her second all-district nomination, previously being named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team, while also being named to the America East All-Academic Team earlier this season as well as the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2023.
Hohnbaum, who holds a 3.97 GPA in Communications and English/Journalism, was named to the all-district team for the second time in her career, previously being named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team. In addition to her America East All-Academic Team nods in 2024 and 2025, Hohnbaum has been named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll twice (2023, 2024).
Grier finished out her junior year with 212 kills across 88 sets (2.41 kills/set), good for second-most on the team. Additionally on offense, Grier landed 18 service aces, a .396 hitting percentage on 37 errors, ranking second-best across the conference this year, and 289.5 points (3.29 points/set), sixth-most across the league. Defensively, Grier paced the Wildcats in blocks, posting 102.0 total on 17 solo blocks and 85 block assists (1.16 blocks/set), tied for second-most across America East.
Hohnbaum closed out her career with 169 kills through 84 sets (2.01 kills/set) and 196.5 points (2.34 points/set), both ranking third-most on the Wildcats' roster this season. On defense, Hohnbaum contributed 32 digs alongside 51.0 blocks on four solos and 47 assists, finishing second-most behind Grier.
