Voigt & DeRoza Named to America East Preseason All-Conference Team

Wildcats picked third in Preseason Poll
BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer team was picked third in the 2026 America East Preseason Poll as voted on by the conference's head coaches, while junior defender Max Voigt (Oberkotzau, Germany) and sophomore forward Xahvi DeRoza (Warwick, Bermuda) were selected to the Preseason All-Conference Team.
UNH totaled 34 points, while Bryant was selected first with 47 points and six first place votes and defending conference champions Vermont was second with 44 points and two first place votes.
UAlbany was picked to finish fourth (33 points), followed by UMBC (27 points), UMass Lowell (19 points), NJIT (17 points) and Binghamton (8 points).
Voigt enters his junior season after earning America East All-Conference Second Team honors in each of his first two years with the Wildcats. A team co-captain in 2026, he was named the America East Rookie of the Year as a freshman and also garnered All-ECAC Second Team and America East All-Rookie Team recognition.
DeRoza made an immediate impact during his freshman campaign, recording two goals and two assists for six points. He was named to the America East All-Rookie Team and earned America East Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 29 after scoring the game-winning goal in the 88th minute of UNH's 3-2 victory at Binghamton, marking his first collegiate goal.
The Wildcats will start the season at Colgate on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 7 p.m.
