Men’s Soccer Announces Signing of Tyson Amoo-Mensah

Amoo-Mensah was a two-year captain at DePaul
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's soccer program has announced the signing of graduate student midfielder Tyson Amoo-Mensah (Naperville, Ill.). Amoo-Mensah was a two-time captain at DePaul.
"Tyson Amoo-Mensah joins us after completing his degree at DePaul University, where he played 37 Big East games and gained extensive experience," said head coach Rich Weinrebe. "Tyson demonstrates elite defensive qualities off-the-ball both in central midfield and right back, while also providing strong on-the-ball ability that fits our style. He brings leadership, personality, and experience that will benefit the team both on the field and in the locker room."
Amoo-Mensah served as a co-captain at DePaul in 2024 and 2025. He played in 37 games and 1,599 minutes during his time at DePaul with 13 starts and one goal. Amoo-Mensah was named to the Big East All-Academic Team in 2022, 2023 and 2024, while he was the recipient of the Jack Cummins Alumni Endowed Soccer Scholarship in 2025.
Amoo-Mensah played his club soccer for Eclipse FC and Sockers FC (2018-21). He also was a member of the soccer team at Naperville North High School from 2018-22. Amoo-Mensah was a team captain in 2021 and 2022, while he earned 2021 IHSA All-Conference, 2021 All-Sectional, 2022 IHSA All-Conference and 2022 All-State honors. The team went undefeated and won the state championship in 2018. He was a member of the 2022 Chicago Tribune Team of the Year. Amoo-Mensah graduated from Naperville North High School in 2022 and was a four-time member of the Honor Roll, while he won the 2018 Naperville North Legacy Award and the 2022 Huskie Award.
