Chertock Takes Home Fourth America East Rookie of the Week Award

Chertock posted her fourth career double-double en route to the honor
BOSTON — University of New Hampshire freshman outside hitter Lucy Chertock (Danville, Calif.) was named America East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Chetock led the Wildcats' offense in their 3-2 loss to Binghamton on Friday (Oct. 17), pacing the team in kills with 16, averaging 3.2 kills per set, while also earning a pair of service aces. Additionally, Chertock posted a career-best 17 digs, averaging 4.25 digs per set, en route to the freshman's fourth career double-double. In the loss, Chertock landed a team-high 19 points, averaging 3.8 points per set.
With the recognition, Chertock earns her fourth America East Rookie of the Week nomination this season and fifth weekly award overall, previously winning the award alongside America East Player of the Week on Sept. 3 while also winning top rookie honors on Sept. 30 and Oct. 14.
