Chertock Earns Third America East Rookie of the Week Award

Chertock finished the week with a team-high 19 points
BOSTON — University of New Hampshire freshman outside hitter Lucy Chertock (Danville, Calif.) was named America East Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Chertock paced the Wildcats' offense in their 3-2 loss to UMBC on Sunday (Oct. 12), finishing with a team-leading 17 kills on a .282 attack percentage, good for a 3.4 kills/set average. Chertock finished the match with four digs and a team-high 19 points, averaging 3.8 points/set.
With the recognition, Chertock earns her third America East Rookie of the Week nomination this season and fourth weekly award overall, previously winning the award alongside America East Player of the Week on Sept. 3 and winning top rookie honors on Sept. 30.
