Wildcats Fall to Binghamton in Semifinal Match

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Wildcats played the Binghamton Bearcats in the America East semifinal match. This was the second year in a row that the 'Cats matched up against the Bearcats in the semifinal match. This season the Wildcats entered the America East Volleyball Championships seeded at number two.
The semifinal match was very close between the two teams with UNH taking the first two sets. The third set was back-and-forth with the Wildcats reaching a 5-point lead late in the set. The Bearcats went on a run resulting in them taking the third. The fourth set was a close set once again with Binghamton winning the set by two points forcing a fifth set. The Bearcats were in control for the majority of the fifth and final set. The Wildcats were able to tie up the set early on 3-3, but Binghamton eventually pulled away securing their spot in the America East Championship match.
The set scores were 25-23, 25-22, 17-25, 23-25, and 15-9
The Wildcat's record is now 18-9 (7-3 AE) they finished the regular season on a 7-game win streak.

- Senior outside hitter Hannah Serbousek (Fort Collins, Colo.) recorded a double-double with 12 kills and a career-high 25 digs.
- Freshman setter Jessica Shattles (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) recorded 23 assists in the match.
- Senior setter Camryn Honn (Overland Park, Kan.) tallied 26 assists.
- Senior libero/defensive specialist Mia Pagliarini (Springboro, Ohio) recorded 23 digs tying her season-high
- Junior outside hitter Ezgi Karabulut (Ankara, Turkey) tallied 21 digs, three aces, and nine kills in the match.
- Graduate student middle blocker Alysa Wright (Wayne, Pa.) slotted seven blocks.
