Haralz Scores First Goal As A Wildcat In 2-1 Victory over Binghamton

VESTAL, N.Y. – Grad student forward Gudrun Haralz (Kópavogur, Iceland) notched her first goal as a Wildcat as the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team defeated Binghamton, 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Bearcats Sports Complex.
The Wildcats' record improves to 5-5-1 (2-1-1, America East) and the Bearcats falls to 6-5-1 (3-1-0, America East).

· UNH returns to action on Thursday, Oct. 13, for their 6 p.m. matchup against Bryant at Wildcat Stadium.
FIRST HALF:
· Haralz struck first when she buried the ball to the right corner of the net in the 26th minute. Guarente crossed the ball directly to Haralz who was posted in front of the net to finish.
SECOND HALF:
· The Wildcats took a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute when Binghamton scored an own goal that ricocheted off a Bearcat defender's foot in front of the net.
· Binghamton got on the board in the 51st minute as Lexi Vegoda scored on a penalty kick.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
· UNH took eight corner kicks compared to Binghamton's three.
· The Wildcats outshot the Bearcats 14-12.
· Grad student goalkeeper Cat Sheppard (Nesconset, N.Y.) had six saves while Kaitlyn Williams had three.
