Women’s Soccer Plays to 0-0 Draw at Bryant

Zeepvat posts her second shutout of the season
SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Junior goalkeeper Sonja Zeepvat (Mendham, N.J.) recorded her second shutout of the season as the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team tied Bryant, 0-0, on Thursday night at Beirne Stadium.
The 'Cats are now 4-4-5 (2-1-2 AE), while the Bulldogs are 4-4-6 (1-2-3 AE).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Wildcats took the first attempt on goal of the game in the 14th minute when graduate student forward Ricshya Walker (Philadelphia, Pa.) sent a shot from 25 yards out towards the left side of the goal, but Bryant goalkeeper Selena Negron made the save.
- With just two seconds remaining in the first half, senior forward Elaina Grenz (River Edge, N.J.) fired a shot from 30 yards that was also saved by Negron.
- Senior midfielder Abbi Maier (Cincinnati, Ohio) almost scored on a header, but Shannon Mejia made a diving save to keep the 'Cats off the board in the 47th minute.
- With the Wildcats down a player for the final 16 minutes, the UNH defense held strong and kept the Bulldogs from scoring including Zeepvat making a save in the 88th minute on a shot by Kelsie Wandyes.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Bryant outshot UNH, 13-12, while the Wildcats took four shots on goal and the Bull Dogs posted one.
- The Bulldogs attempted eight corner kicks and the Wildcats took five.
- Zeepvat posted one save, while each Bryant goalkeeper made two saves.
