Graduate student Mia Neas (Old Saybrook, Conn.) made nine saves in the contest to keep the 'Cats in it until a penalty kick goal in the 45th minute and a corner kick goal in the 86th.
The 'Cats will finish up their homestand Sunday hosting UMass at Bremner Field at 2 P.M.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tigers got off to an early start, forcing Neas to make two quick saves within the first four minutes of play.
- The Wildcats played Princeton tightly, not allowing too much pressure in their own end, and forcing Princeton to make some defensive stops on four UNH corner kicks in the first.
- Despite a strong defensive presence in the game from UNH, a costly foul in the 45th minute gave Princeton's Mimi Asom a penalty kick which put the Tigers up 1-0 at half.
- The Wildcats stuck to their guns defensively to start the second, forcing a high shot and blocking another in the 51st and 53rd minute.
- Neas made a total of six saves in the second half to try and keep the 'Cats in it.
- Princeton got the insurance goal in the 86th minute as a corner kick found the head of Gabi Juarez and bounced in off the crossbar.

- Princeton led in corner kicks in the second half, 2-0.
- Princeton also held the shot advantage in the second, 14-2.

- Losing for the first time in the third game of the season is the earliest loss for UNH since 2014, when they dropped the second game of the season to Central Connecticut, 1-0.
- Neas' nine saves were the most she's had in a game since last season's home game against Northeastern. (Sep. 17, 2017, 1-0 victory.)
