'Cats Receive AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of New Hampshire volleyball team received a 2017-2018 Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Wednesday. UNH has received this accolade six of the past seven years, including five consecutive spanning the 2011-12 through 2015-16 academic years.
The AVCA Team Academic Award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that display excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.
Earlier this year, nine Wildcats were named to the 2017 America East Commissioner's Honor Roll for recording a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and three other 'Cats earned a spot on the 2017 America East Academic Honor Roll for tallying a GPA between 3.0-3.49.
Furthermore, Courtney Bowman (Chagrin Falls, Ohio) and Mali Jereczek (Green Bay, Wis.) were selected to the America East All-Academic Team in recognition of their excellence in both academics and athletics.
