- The University of New Hampshire heads into the weekend with a 4-6-3 overall record and a 1-1-3 mark in Hockey East play.
- The Wildcats are coming off a 5-4 home victory over Bentley University on Saturday, Nov. 28. Senior alternate captain Dan Correale recorded a pair of goals in the effort while the other three came from senior Maxim Gaudreault, junior Matias Cleland and freshman Marcus Vela. Vela's goal was the first of his collegiate career.
- Sophomore netminder Danny Tirone made 30 saves between the pipes to record the win for UNH. He made eight saves in the first, 10 in the second and 12 in the third.
- Sophomore forward Andrew Poturalski was named the Warrior Player of the Week as well as Warrior Player of the Month for November by Hockey East. Last week, Poturalski recorded five points in two games (3g, 2a) with a hat trick at RPI (Nov. 24) and a pair of assists against Bentley. During the month of November, Poturalski recorded a league-high 13 points on six goals and 17 assists.
- Poturalski currently leads the nation in points per game (1.92) and total points (25). He has 11 goals and 14 assists. He is tied for second in the country in total goals and is third in goals per game (0.85).
- Junior Tyler Kelleher is second in the country in total points with 23 (6g, 17a) and in points per game (1.77). He leads the nation in assists per game (1.31) with 17 through the first 13 games.
- Cleland is currently tied for sixth in the country in points per game by a defenseman (0.85). He has 11 points on two goals and nine assists.
- New Hampshire's power play unit is ninth in the country with a conversion rate of 25% (16-64).
- The Black Bears come into the weekend with a record of 4-8-3 overall and 2-4-0 in league play.
- Maine has won its last four consecutive games with sweeps over Vermont and most recently over Princeton. In their last game, Maine topped Princeton in overtime, 3-2. The Black Bears held a 2-0 lead heading into the third period, but the Tigers leveled the score at 2-2 to force OT. Blaine Byron notched his second goal of the game to win the game.
- Maine netminder Matt Morris made 31 saves and improved to 4-2-1 with the win.
- The two teams play at Alfond Arena on Friday, Dec. 4 (7:30 p.m.) and at the Whittemore Center on Saturday, Dec. 5 (7 p.m.). The two teams meet again in December with a game on Dec. 29 at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine and at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Dec. 30 in Manchester, N.H.

Road Warriors: The men's hockey team will travel a total of 4,705.40 miles this season for road games. The biggest journey is 828 miles one way to Michigan State. The shortest trip is 34.4 miles to the Verizon Wireless Arena.
Hoist the Cup! Former men's hockey player Trevor van Riemsdyk ('14) became the sixth Wildcat in program history to win the Stanley Cup, the NHL's top honor. Here is the list of UNH Stanley Cup winners:
