Volleyball Announces Captains For 2026 Season

Shattles, Grier return as captains while Su Keskin joins leadership group.
DURHAM, N.H. — Junior setter Jessica Shattles (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.), junior middle blocker Rachel Grier (Dublin, Calif.), and junior libero Miray Su Keskin (Ankara, Turkey) have been selected captains of the 2026 University of New Hampshire volleyball team, as announced by seventh-year head coach Christopher Feliciano.
Shattles, who was named team captain for a second year, closed out her junior season as only one of three players to appear in all 88 sets, pacing the team in assists with 545 (6.19 assists/set) while ranking fourth-most across America East. In addition, Shattles closed out the season with 23 service aces, good for second-most on the team, while posting a career-best 16 kills.
On defense, Shattles finished out the season with 218 digs (2.48 digs/set), second-most on the team, and a career-high eight total blocks.
Shattles' season was highlighted by a career performance in the Wildcats' 3-2 win over UAlbany (Oct. 3), where the setter earned new career-highs for assists in a match (39), points in a match (6.5), and tied her career-best for digs in a match (18).
Shattles finished the year with 22 matches of 10+ assists, including 17 matches with 20+ assists and seven matches of 30+ assists, while adding 11 double-doubles with 10+ digs.
Grier, a member of the 2025 America East All-Conference Second Team, finished out her junior year with 212 kills while appearing in all 88 sets (2.41 kills/set), good for second-most on the team. Additionally on offense, Grier landed 18 service aces, a .396 hitting percentage on 37 errors, ranking second-best across the conference last year, and 289.5 points (3.29 points/set), sixth-most across the league.
Defensively, the 2025 captain paced the Wildcats in blocks, posting 102.0 total on 17 solo blocks and 85 block assists (1.16 blocks/set), tied for second-most across America East.
Grier's season was headlined by her second-career double-double in an 11-kill, 10-block performance against Saint Peter's (Aug. 30), a career-best 16-kill day against Saint Francis (Sept. 12), and a career-high 20.5-point performance against NJIT (Oct. 26).
In total, the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team member finished her year with 13 matches of 10+ kills and 12 matches of 5+ total blocks.
Su Keskin joins the team's leadership group following a 2025 campaign that saw her appear in 45 sets across 20 matches. Offensively, the libero finished with a pair of assists and three service aces while providing 33 digs on defense.
The Fall 2025 America East Academic Honor Roll recipient's season was accentuated by a seven-dig outing in the Wildcats' 3-1 win over Saint Francis (Sept. 12).
Su Keskin rounded out her season with a dig recorded in 12 matches, including eight matches with multiples digs and three matches with 5+ digs.
