Sonja Zeepvat Named America East Defensive Player of the Week

Zeepvat posted a 0.50 goals against average on the week
BOSTON – Junior goalkeeper Sonja Zeepvat (Mendham, N.J.) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team has been named the America East Defensive Player of the Week. This is Zeepvat's first career America East weekly award.
Zeepvat only allowed one goal over two games and went 0-0-2 on the week. She recorded a 0.50 goals against average and a .889 save percentage as she made eight saves on nine shots on goal. Zeepvat posted her second shutout of the season with one save in the 0-0 tie at Bryant. Then in the 1-1 tie versus first-place Binghamton, she made seven saves to limit the Bearcats to one goal as BU leads the conference with 26 goals.
The 'Cats will return to action versus UMBC on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. on ESPN+ at Wildcat Stadium for the final regular season home game of the year. It is also Garrison City F.C. Day. The Wildcats are currently tied for third place in the America East standings with nine points as there are two regular season games remaining. The top six teams qualify for the America East Tournament.
