HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams fought for position early in the first half, but few shots and few scoring chances occurred for either team.
- Mid-way through the half, a turnover in Stony Brook's end resulted in a two on one with freshman Julie Cane (Titusville, N.J.) with winger Liz Lane. Cane passed a through ball to Lane inside the 18, and Lane fired a shot that was saved by Stony Brook 'keeper Sofia Manner.
- The second half started with a rocket from Liz Lane inside the box, but was tipped away by Manner.
- Minute later, a break away by Ally Reynolds (Weymouth, Mass.) got into the 18 and her shot was tipped by Manner and almost trickled toward the end line, but Manner got enough of it to put it just wide.
- Lane finally broke through at the end of the 54th minute. Lane drove down the left sideline after a long through-ball by Kaylan Williams, then cut to the right into the box and fired from the top of the 18. Her shot was low and her angle was perfect enough to beat Manner to her lower right side, sailing past her outstretched hands.
- The Seawolves fired back after the goal, trying to put pressure on the 'Cats but were held to three total shots, two on goal.
- The Wildcats were able to return that pressure and get a couple more dangerous plays going in Stony Brook's end, but all were cleared.
- Stony Brook had one more shot in the final minutes on a cross that went through the box but a poor header sent it wide and out of a scoring chance.
- As time expired, the Wildcats blocked a clear that ended up over the endline; Stony Brook managed a corner kick in the waning seconds but the horn sounded after contact was first made on the corner.
- Fouls in the contest were even at 10-10.
- Stony Brook outshot the 'Cats 7-6 in the second half, but UNH led overall 10-8.
- Liz Lane and Ally Reynolds led the team with three shots on goal, four shots total.
- Before Stony Brook's end-of-game corner, both teams were tied with one corner apiece. Stony Brook's came in the first, New Hampshire's in the second.
BLANKED:
- This is Mia Neas' 10th career shutout, and her second in as many games.
- Neas has four shut outs this season. She has shut out back-to-back games twice this season and three times in her career.
- In those games, the Wildcats have a 3-0-1 record. (Wins against Sacred Heart, UMBC, Stony Brook, tie against UMass Lowell).
THE LANE-WILLIAMS CONNECTION:
- Liz Lane has tallied the last three goals for the Wildcats; all three of those goals were game winners.
- Her goal against Sacred Heart came unassisted.
- The game-winner against UMBC was assisted by Kaylan Williams in overtime.

- New Hampshire is now 4-2-1 in Sunday games.
