THE MATCHUP WITH MAINE
- The Wildcats and Black Bears went to halftime scoreless. Maine would open up the scoring three minutes into the second half to lead 1-0
- With six seconds to go in regulation, New Hampshire was given a free kick from about 35 yards out of the Maine goal. Sophomore Megan Rumbold (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) took the free kick and buzzed it over the heads of everyone, placing it right under the goal post for her first career goal, tying the game with 3 seconds remaining.
- Just over halfway through the first overtime, Brooke Murphy collected an errant Maine pass and dribbled it into the box, found her shot, and put it in the far side of the net for a walk-off victory to remain undefeated in conference and at home.

- The Wildcats and the Seawolves have faced off 21 times in their history.
- UNH leads the close series with a record of 9-8-4.
- New Hampshire last faced Stony Brook at the tail end of the 2016 regular season, as the Seawolves defeated the 'Cats in Durham, 3-2.

THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
- UNH was selected third in the America East Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released Aug. 9. Hartford and Albany were picked ahead of the Wildcats in the nine-team league.
- UNH opened the season with a 3-0-0 record for the first time since 1991, on their way to their first non-conference winning record since 2005.
- New Hampshire's 6-3-0 non-conference record is the best in program history.
- UNH's 10-3-0 record is their best through 13 games in program history.
- The Wildcats are now on a six-game winning streak, their first since 1988 when the 'Cats won six straight, on their way to winning seven of their last eight games of the season.
- New Hampshire boasts a 4-0-0 conference record for the first time since 2015, and is a perfect 7-0-0 at home.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
- Senior captain Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.), the two-time reigning America East Striker of the Year, has tallied 18 points on eight goals and two assists this season. Murphy has three game-winning goals this season (Colgate, Northeastern, and Maine).
- Kaylan Williams (Marion, Ind.) follows behind Murphy in the point total with nine points (4g, 1a). Williams notched the game-winning goals against Colorado State and conference foe Binghamton.
- Junior midfielder Gaby Dorsey (Hubertus, Wis.) tallied a game-winning goal in the season opener, and the first goal of the conference part of the schedule against Binghamton. Her most recent goal at Vermont, plus an assist against Albany puts her at three goals, one assist, for seven points on the season.
- Freshman forward Francesca Picicci (North Massapequa, N.Y.) scored her first two career goals against Army in UNH's 2-0 victory. She scored the game winning goal against Albany, and with an assist earlier in the year she's now up to seven points on the season.
- Senior goalkeeper Mia Neas (Old Saybrook, Conn.) has tallied a 10-3-0 record so far in her first starting season, after seeing action in only three games prior to this season. She has made 69 saves, for a .873 save percentage, and 0.76 goals allowed average. She has shut out five teams this season (LIU Brooklyn, Army, Northeastern, Vermont, Albany). Neas was awarded her second America East weekly award of the season as she was named Co-Player of the Week after shutting out Vermont and Albany.
MURPHY PUTS HER NAME IN THE RECORD BOOKS
- Brooke Murphy has set two new records this season for the UNH women's soccer program.
- The UNH benchmark of 38 career goals was established by Diane McLoughlin, and stood since 1990. Murphy scored her 39th career goal against Northeastern on September 17, 2017 to set the bar higher. She has since scored another, for 41 career goals.
- The record for career points scored was set by Chiara Best in 2004 when she finished her career with 88 points. With an assist against Vermont on September 28, Brooke Murphy surpassed that mark with 89 career points. She currently has 93 career points.
SCOUTING STONY BROOK
- The Seawolves (Stony Brook, N.Y.) enter this week with a 6-7-0 overall record, 2-1-0 in conference.
- Last week the Seawolves went 2-0-0 defeating UMass Lowell 3-0 and Hartford 1-0.
- Stony Brook is 1-0-0 in home conference games this season, and 2-2-0 overall at home.
- The Seawolves are led by reigning America East Rookie and Co-Player of the week Alyssa Francese, who has six goals and one assist for 13 points on the season.
- Rachel Florenz follows close behind with five goals, one assist for 11 points.
- Goalkeeper Sofia Manner has started 12 of 13 games for the Seawolves with a 5-7-0 record. She has stopped 47 shots for a save percentage of .810, and has allowed 11 goals for a 0.92 GAA. Manner has three shutouts on the season.
- The other start was to Shannon Robinson who made five saves and allowed now goals in a shut out against Iona.
- Cara Galagher has seen action in two games, stopping two saves and allowing no goals.
