Katie Taranto recorded a personal best of eight points with a career-high seven goals on Senior Day against UMBC in Saturday’s regular-season finale. Katie opened up her scoring at 2:15 of the first quarter with an unassisted goal that evened the score at two, soon following it up with a second unassisted goal giving the Wildcats the lead. Katie continued her scoring with two goals in the second and three in the fourth quarter. Her fifth tally of the game, which came at 8:17 in the fourth quarter, marked Katie’s 50th career goal.
With her dominant eight-point performance, Katie set a new team high of 13 shots in a game.
Fourth-seeded New Hampshire travels to play top-seeded and host UAlbany in a May 5 America East semifinal matchup. Game time is 1 p.m. at John Fallon Field.
