Six 'Cats Receive IWLCA Academic Honor Roll Recognition

UNH Is Named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – Six student-athletes on the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team were named to the 2024-25 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll and UNH was recognized as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for the 2024-25 academic year. The announcement was made Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Seniors Maria Hagan (Downers Grove, Ill.) and Abby Hawkes (Amherst, N.H.) received this accolade for the second consecutive year while classmate Sydney Sventy (Lumberton, N.J.) joined them on this year's list.
Juniors Kendall Donovan (Westford, Mass.), Paige Kenny (Kensington, Md.) and Kate O'Rourke (Franklin, Mass.) were honored in their first year of eligibility for the award.
The IWLCA honored 1,163 student-athletes from 124 different institutions on the 2024-25 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher.
The IWLCA also named 383 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2024-25 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
UNH recorded a team GPA of 3.41 in the 2024-25 academic year with an impressive 3.49 GPA in the competition season preceded by a 3.29 in the fall semester.
Earlier this month, the America East conference announced its Academic Honor Roll and 19 Wildcats were recognized, including 13 for recording a GPA of 3.50 or higher in the Spring 2025 semester.
