Thomas Named to America East All-Rookie Team

BOSTON – Freshman goalkeeper Ellie Thomas (Needham, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team was named to the America East All-Rookie Team on Thursday.
Thomas, who was a two-time conference Goalkeeper of the Week (Feb. 10 and March 3) and Rookie of the Week (March 10) honoree during the 2025 season, is No. 8 in the nation in saves per game (10.87) and 14th in saves (163). She is the America East leader in both those stats and ranks fourth in save percentage (.409) as well as sixth in ground balls per game (1.93).
Thomas started all 15 games and played all 888 minutes. She recorded 10+ saves in 11 of 15 games with a high of 16 against both Merrimack College and Cornell University. Thomas made 11 saves to backstop the Wildcats to a 15-5 victory against Marist College in the Feb. 8 season opener.
Thomas finished the season atop the UNH leaderboard in ground balls with 29. She recorded a ground ball in 14 of 15 games. Thomas recorded multiple ground balls in seven games with a high of five GBs against both UMBC and the University of Vermont.
