Senior jumper Kevin McGrath (Hopkinton, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team set a new school record and won the high jump with a mark of 6'9.75 on the final day of competition of the New England Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center on Saturday.
"We ended up with a fifth-place finish, needless to say, Kevin McGrath winning the high jump and the new school record was the highlight of the day," said UNH head coach Robert Hoppler. "He had a really severe knee injury his freshman year and come back in his senior year after all of that and through the pandemic is a fantastic accomplishment, I am very impressed and proud."
The Wildcats return to action on Friday, February 11 for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
