Sophomore's Second Win of Season Lifts Wildcats to second at Stanley Quarter Park
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – UNH sophomore Ruth White (Orono, Maine) made it back-to-back first-place finishes to start the women's cross country season, crossing the line in 17 minutes, 6.60 seconds to win Saturday's 5K race, which led the Wildcat women's XC team to second overall at the Ted Owen Invitational, hosted by Central Connecticut State University at Stanley Quarter Park.
White, who won the women's 3K at the Suffolk Short Course Classic on Aug. 30, scored one point for the Wildcats, who totaled 72 points to place runner-up to UConn (20 points).

Senior Ella Malone (Portsmouth, N.H.) posted a career-best 18th-place finish in 18:00.90 (15 points), and sophomore Bailey Hall (Yardley, Pa.) registered her second straight Top-20 placement with a 20th-place time of 18:00.90.
