Aidan Shea Earns Sixth Career America East All-Academic Team Honor

BOSTON – Graduate student distance runner Aidan Shea (Amherst, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team has been named to the 2025 Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team. Shea was one of 10 student-athletes from the conference to be selected.
To be eligible for All-Academic, student-athletes must have at least sophomore athletic eligibility, attain a 3.30 minimum grade-point average and be a contributor on their team. The squad is voted on by a committee made up of America East student-athlete support staff, athletic communications administrators as well as faculty athletic representatives.
This is now the sixth time that Shea has been selected to an America East All-Academic Team as he previously earned spots on the 2025 Indoor, 2024 Outdoor, 2024 Indoor, 2023 Outdoor and 2023 Cross Country teams.
Shea posted a 4.00 GPA this year as a graduate student majoring in Homeland Security. His time of 3:45.03 in the 1,500 meter run at the Virginia Challenge was the top time in the 2025 America East Outdoor season. At the 2025 America East Outdoor Championships he placed third in the 1,500 meter run and third in the 4x800 meter relay, while at the 2025 New England Outdoor Championships he was second in the 1,500 meter run and second in the 4x800 meter relay.
