Yoofi Abaka-Amuah Concludes Outstanding Season at NCAA East First Round

RESULTS
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Junior Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) of the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team concluded the 2024-25 season at the NCAA East First Round at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida on Thursday afternoon.
Abaka-Amuah, who made his NCAA East First Round debut, placed 37th in the shot put out of 48 athletes with a throw of 56' 11.5". Tarik Robinson O'Hagen from Ole Miss won with a facility record toss of 68' 5".
The top 12 athletes from each event advance to the Track and Field Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., on June 11-14.
Abaka-Amuah had an outstanding season as he won the Coaches Award for recording the most points with 22 over the two days of the America East Championship and was also named the Most Outstanding Field Performer. He won gold in the shot put at both the America East Championships and New England Championships.
The 2024-25 UNH men's track and field season has concluded.
