35 Members of Men’s Track & Field Earn AE Academic Honor Roll Accolades

89 percent of the team made the Honor Roll
BOSTON – Thirty-five members of the 2024-25 University of New Hampshire men's track and field team have been recognized for their academic achievement by being named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.
A total of 25 Wildcats earned a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll, while 10 were named to the Honor Roll. Overall, 89 percent of the team received one of the academic honors.
Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition is awarded to student-athletes with a spring semester GPA of 3.50 or higher, while Honor Roll accolades are bestowed to student-athletes who recorded a spring semester GPA between 3.0-3.49.
Matthew Allen (East Kingston, N.H.), Danny Anderson (Naugatuck, Conn.), Taloosh Anderson (Mont Vernon, N.H.), Avery Cipcic (Suffield, Conn.), Zachary Hooper (Concord, N.H.), Porter Hurteau (Milton, Vt.), Andrew Kelly (Portsmouth, N.H.), Gavin Malark (Stratham, N.H.), Aidan Shea (Amherst, Mass.) and Gunnar Sokol (Berwick, Maine) led the 'Cats as each posted a perfect 4.00 GPA in the spring 2025 semester and earned a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Watson Chodat (Malone, N.Y.), Carson Eames (Littleton, N.H.), Kevin Finn (Kennebunk, Maine), Nathan Fletcher (Portsmouth, N.H.), James Gecek (High Bridge, N.J.), Cameron Jacobs (Naugatuck, Conn.), Brayden Kearns (Deerfield, N.H.), Liam McGovern (North Kingstown, R.I.), Michael Mulcahy (Weymouth, Mass.), Carter Norton (East Greenbush, N.Y.), Peyton Ramsey (Plainville, Conn.), Max Rome (North Kingstown, R.I.), Ian Smith (Munster, Ind.) and Caden Zalenski (Milford, N.H.) were also named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.), Jayson Blaisdell (Barrington, N.H.), William Curran (Old Saybrook, Conn.), Sam Grube (Dover, N.H.), Samuel Hilts (Concord, N.H.), Max LaPointe (Amesbury, Mass.), Xavier Lemieux (Buxton, Maine), Kyran Maher (Andover, Mass.), John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.), Julian Rime (New City, N.Y.) and Jack Washam (Nashua, N.H.) received Honor Roll recognition.
This year 82 percent of student-athletes who competed in America East sponsored sports earned Honor Roll recognition for achieving at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2024 fall semester or 2025 spring semesters. A total of 58 percent of student-athletes and 2,047 in total earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for registering a GPA of 3.5 or better. It is a 5% increase from the 2023-24 academic year and all nine schools achieved over 50%. Overall, 2,927 America East student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll in 2024-25.
