Elizabeth Blanding, a sophomore from Pittsford, N.Y., scored a season-high three goals and also had an assist to match her career high of four points to lead the UNH women’s lacrosse team to a 12-10 victory against Binghamton University at Wildcat Stadium on March 23.
Elizabeth scored all three goals in the first half. Her first goal of the game gave the ‘Cats a 3-1 lead at 20:22, and her next goal broke a 5-5 tie at 3:28. She struck again with five seconds on the clock to send New Hampshire into halftime with a 7-6 lead.
Elizabeth set up UNH’s 10th goal of the game, which gave the Wildcats a 10-9 lead at 16:36 of the second half.
The UNH women’s lacrosse team (6-3, 1-0 America East) returns to action March 30 at home against Hartford. Start time at Wildcat Stadium is 1 p.m.
