Abbi Maier Named America East Offensive Player of the Week

Maier posted three points as the Wildcats defeated UAlbany, 3-1
BOSTON – Senior midfielder Abbi Maier (Cincinnati, Ohio) of the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team has been named the America East Offensive Player of the Week. This is Maier's second career America East weekly award as she earned Rookie of the Week accolades on Sept. 19, 2022.
Maier posted one goal and one assist for three points as the Wildcats won at UAlbany, 3-1, on Oct. 12. She recorded an assist on the first goal of the game, while in the 79th minute Maier rocketed a shot from 35 yards out to the upper 90 for the spectacular goal. Maier is tied for the team-lead with four goals and also has one assist for nine points.
The 'Cats return to action at Bryant on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
