Wildcats Attending NHL Development Camps

DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire junior forward Cy LeClerc (Brentwood, N.H.), senior captain Alex Gagne (Bedford, N.H.), sophomore forward Ryan Conmy (Alexandria, Va.), sophomore defenseman Brendan Fitzgerald (North Reading, Mass.), sophomore forward Marty Lavins (Riga, Latvia) and freshman forward Ryan MacPherson (Windsor, Ontario) are on National Hockey League Development Camp rosters taking place from July 1-7.
The development camps feature top prospects who will participate in team meetings, off-ice testing, on-ice sessions and scrimmages.
NHL Development Camps:
Who: Cy LeClerc
Team: Detroit Red Wings
Where: Little Caesars Arena (Detroit, Mich.)
LeClerc has played in 71 games over his first two seasons at UNH. He has posted 23 goals and 25 assists for 48 points.
Who: Alex Gagne
Team: Tampa Bay Lightning
Where: TGH Ice Plex (Tampa, Fla.)
Gagne was drafted in the sixth round (192nd overall) in the 2021 NHL Draft by the Lightning. He has appeared in 104 games with three goals and 28 assists for 31 points. As a junior in 2023-24, he was named a Third Team Hockey East All-Star and was the runner-up for the Hockey East Best Defensive Defenseman Award.

Team: Los Angeles Kings
Where: Toyota Sports Performance Center (El Segundo, Calif.)
Conmy was selected in the sixth round with the 182nd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft by the Kings. He appeared in 34 games with 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points as a freshman.
Who: Brendan Fitzgerald
Team: Toronto Maple Leafs
Where: Ford Performance Centre (Etobicoke, Ontario)
Fitzgerald played in 28 games a freshman in 2023-24. He recorded five assists for five points.

Lavins appeared in 35 games as a freshman in 2023-24 with five goals and nine assists for 14 points. He played in two games at the World Championships with Latvia with one assist for one point.

Team: Philadelphia Flyers
Where: Flyers Training Center (Voorhees, N.J.)
MacPherson was drafted in the sixth round by the Flyers with the 172nd overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. MacPherson played in 54 games for the Penticton Vees of the BCHL this past season with 16 goals and 22 assists for 38 points. Previously he played two seasons for the Leamington Flyers of the GOJHL as he totaled 39 goals and 74 assists for 113 points over 97 games.
