Kyle Chauvette Named to Academic All-District Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. – University of New Hampshire senior men's hockey goalie Kyle Chauvette (Goffstown, N.H.) was named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team.
The Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for combined performance in athletics and the classroom (must have a 3.50 or higher overall GPA and be at least a sophomore.). Eligible nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For goalies, a student-athlete must have started at least 50 percent of an institution's games. The 12 sports which are included on the men's at-large ballot are fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, volleyball, water polo and wrestling.
Chauvette graduated in May with a 3.85 GPA as an Economics major. He won the team's Roger A. LeClerc Most Valuable Player Award for the 2025-26 season. Chauvette tied for second in the nation and first in Hockey East with five shutouts this past season. He was named the Hockey East Goaltender of the Week on Dec. 8 as he went 2-0-0 at No. 11 Maine with a stellar .961 save percentage and a 1.00 goals against average. He only allowed two goals on 51 shots as he posted 49 saves.
The Wildcats start the 2026-27 season at Quinnipiac on Friday, Oct. 2 and begin the home season versus Michigan State on Oct. 23-24.
