DURHAM, N.H. – The No. 17 University of New Hampshire men's soccer team tied the University of Vermont, 0-0 on Friday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium through 110 minutes of soccer.
The Wildcats are now 2-0-1 (1-0-1 AE), while Vermont starts the season 0-0-1 (0-0-1 AE).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the 21st minute of the first half, senior Linus Fallberg (Jonkoping, Sweden) was fouled in the penalty box allowing for sophomore Bilal Kimal (London, England) to take a penalty shot. The shot to the right corner of the net was saved by Vermont goalie Nathan Silveira.
- The Wildcats had three shots on goal in the first half as Vermont did not record a shot on goal.
- After a scoreless second half, the game went into a 10-minute overtime. The 'Cats had two shots on goal during the second half while the Catamounts had zero.
- The Wildcats and Catamounts had zero shots on goal in the first overtime, and the game went into double overtime.
- In the 102nd minute, Vermont recorded their first shot on goal of the game as Bjarni Adalsteinsson shot the ball to the bottom left corner of the goal. Graduate student Alejandro Robles (Monterey, Mexico) made the save.
- Neither team was able to score the game winner for the 0-0 tie.
