- Saturday's game will enter the history book as the inaugural meeting between the New Hampshire and Central Connecticut State University women's lacrosse programs.
UNH Derailed by Dartmouth
- Dartmouth prevailed in Wednesday afternoon's Battle of the Granite State at Scully-Fahey Field (Hanover) with a 13-3 win against UNH. Box • Recap
- The Big Green led 10-0 at halftime and extended the lead to 11 goals before senior attacker Krissy Schafer scored at 16:15 of the second half. Schafer finished with two goals.
- Freshman attacker Sabrina Grovom recorded her first collegiate point with an assist on Schafer's first goal.
- Senior midfielder Carly Wooters finished with two draw controls and two caused turnovers, both of which were team highs.
- Starting goalie Kate Clancy exited the game at halftime; she was credited with seven saves and a team-high four ground balls. Amanda Gottlieb played the second half and stopped 4 of 7 shots on goal; she also had two ground balls.
Top 'Cats
- The top point producers are Krissy Schafer (7), Catherine Sexton (7) and Anna Vogt (6). No Wildcat has recorded a point all three games, and no 'Cat has an active multiple-game point streak.
- Schafer (7) and Vogt (6) are the top goal scorers.
- Sexton has tallied four of the team's nine assists; Julia Neyland is the only other Wildcat with multiple assists – two.
- Cat Sennott is atop the team leaderboard in both ground balls (12) and caused turnovers (seven).
- Senior captain Lizzie Suschana ranks second in GB (8) and CTO (5).
- Rebecca Sennott and Carly Wooters rank 1-2 in draw controls with 10 and 8, respectively.

Possessing the Ball
- UNH recorded the advantage in draw controls and ground balls in the first two games of the season, which led to a 68-35 shot advantage.
- In Game 3, Dartmouth had the edge in both DCs (13-3) and GBs (20-14), as well as shots (37-12).
Nothing's Free
- New Hampshire has scored on 4 of 25 (16%) free-position shots this season. In comparison, opponents have scored on 8 of 19 (42%).
- This past Wednesday at Dartmouth, the 'Cats did not score on three free-position shots while the Big Green was 4-for-10.
- UNH scored on 1 of 11 free-position shots against Harvard. The Wildcats were 3-for-11 in the season opener vs. Sacred Heart.

- Seniors comprise nearly half the roster with 10 Wildcats in that class.
Last Line of Defense
- Senior goalkeeper Kate Clancy has started all 41 games the past four years and no other goalie saw action in 2017. She recorded double-digit saves five times last year, and that included a personal best of 19 in the opener vs. Harvard. Also of note, Clancy ranked second on the team in ground balls with 30.
- In three games this season, Clancy has stopped 16 of 39 shots on goal for a .410 save percentage; she also has a 1-2 record and 10.11 GAA.
- Sophomore Amanda Gottlieb made her collegiate debut last Saturday at Harvard when she entered the second half with 13:29 remaining. She made one save and surrendered three goals for a 13.35 GAA and .250 save percentage.
- Gottlieb played the entire second half at Dartmouth and had a .571 save percentage. In 43:29 of action, she has an 8.28 GAA and .455 save percentage.
'Cats Declawed by Crimson
- Harvard University scored seven consecutive goals spanning 23 minutes in the second half to record a 14-5 victory vs. UNH last Saturday at Jordan Field.
- The Crimson built a 6-1 lead at 12:06 of the first half, but New Hampshire closed within 7-3 and struck first in the second half to trim the deficit to 7-4.
- Harvard answered 16 seconds later, however, and gradually pulled away.
- UNH recorded the statistical edge in shots (33-28), ground balls (28-19) and draw controls (13-8). Turnovers were even at 17.
- Anna Vogt scored three goals to match her career high that she established in the season opener vs. Sacred Heart.
- Carly Wooters did not record a goal or assist, which ended her point streak at 13 games; she recorded a game-high 10 shots (six on goal).
Sennott Sisters Shine
- Cat Sennott recorded career highs in both ground balls (seven) and caused turnovers (four) at Harvard.
- Rebecca Sennott corralled a personal best of six draw controls. She was also credited with a caused turnover.
'Cats Coast Past Pioneers
- New Hampshire scored the first four goals of the game and seized control of the game with a 9-0 run (that overlapped the first and second halves) to record a 14-2 victory against Sacred Heart in the 2018 season opener last Saturday at Bremner Field.
- The two goals marked the fewest allowed by the 'Cats since April 5, 2014.
- SHU's seven shots marked the lowest total by a UNH opponent since March 26, 2016.
- UNH outscored Sacred Heart 7-1 in both halves.

- Junior attacker Catherine Sexton recorded career highs in both assists (four) and points (six) against Sacred Heart.

Scouting CCSU
- Central Connecticut State (New Britain, Conn.) travels to Durham with an 0-2 record following Wednesday's 21-4 loss at Army West Point. The Blue Devils opened the 2018 season with a 21-8 road loss to Saint Joseph's.
- CCSU, under the guidance of second-year head coach Princess Livingston, was picked sixth (of eight teams) in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Megan Szawlowski earned All-NEC First Team honors last year, when she recorded 30 goals and 27 assists for a team-high 57 points. In two games this year, she leads the team in both goals (four) and points (five). Szawlowski also has a team-high seven draw controls.
- Morgan Sinton ranks second in goals (three) and is tied for second in points (three). Cameron Ruberti also has three points (2g, 1a).
- Emma Sullivan is the team leader in caused turnovers (four) and ranks second in ground balls (four).
- Goalkeeper Jackie Branthover was an All-NEC Second Team honoree last year. She started the season opener and played 30 minutes, then played 39:46 in a relief role at Army. Branthover has an 18.92 GAA and .333 save percentage with an 0-1 record; she has a team-high five ground balls.
- Meaghan Allard has also played in both games with one start; she is 0-1 with a 23.89 GAA and .394 save percentage.
