'Cats Stave Off Lions' Late Push, Down Lindenwood 16-15

Rose Pavuk tied her career-best with seven points while Kate O’Rourke netted a career-high four goals.
DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team downed Lindenwood University (3-5, 0-0 ASUN) on Wednesday afternoon (March 1) at Wildcat Stadium, winning 16-15.
HOW IT HAPPENED

-The Wildcats opened the scoring just 29 seconds into the opening quarter, when Kate O'Rourke (Franklin, Mass.) came off the bench and fired on net, beating Mia Harrington for her third of the season.
-New Hampshire doubled their lead just under two minutes later, when Dale Meskill (Keller, Texas) beat the keeper for her first goal of the season.
-With 11:14 left in the opening frame, Rose Pavuk (York, Maine) found her team-leading 14th goal of the season with a successful free position shot.
-The Lions broke onto the scoreboard with 9:51 to play on a score from Tatum Bryant.
-New Hampshire found their fourth goal of the quarter at the 7:58 mark, when O'Rourke slipped the ball past Harrington on the free position shot for her second score of the game.
-The 'Cats further extended their lead with 6:18 to go when Meskill netted her second goal of the game to make it 5-1.
