Rose Pavuk Nets Five, Matches Career-High in Scoring in Loss to UAlbany

Rose Pavuk netted five goals in a game for the second time this season.
DURHAM, N.H. — The University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team fell to UAlbany (6-2, 1-0 AE) on Saturday afternoon (March 14) at Wildcat Stadium, dropping a 16-9 decision.
HOW IT HAPPENED
1Q
-UAlbany's offense got going fast in the opening quarter, netting the first six goals of the game in the first 8:16 to take a 6-0 lead.
-Rose Pavuk (York, Maine) broke onto the scoreboard with 4:49 to play, giving New Hampshire their first goal of the afternoon.
-The Great Danes netted two more goals to close the quarter, taking an 8-1 lead into the second quarter.
2Q
-Just 49 seconds into the second quarter, UAlbany's Paisley Cook found the back of the net on the free position opportunity, making it a 9-1 contest.
-The Wildcats began to claw back over the course of the second quarter, with goals from Rose Pavuk at 11:28 and 5:15 and Charlize Collins (Burlington, Mass.) at 8:59 to close the gap to 9-4.
-With 48 seconds to go, UAlbany got their second of the quarter from Ravan Marsell to take a 10-4 lead into halftime.

-The Great Danes and Wildcats traded free position goals to start the third quarter, with a try from Marsell landing at 13:58, followed by a Kate O'Rourke (Franklin, Mass.) goal at 12:29 to make it 11-5.
