The Matchup vs. Binghamton
- UNH has won all 15 matchups against Binghamton University with eight wins at home and seven on the road.
- Four of the previous six games were decided by three goals or less, and that includes last year's 9-8 OT win on the road – UNH overcame a two-goal deficit in the last 90 seconds – and a 13-12 road win in '13.
- The last time these teams met in Durham (April 10, 2015), the Wildcats prevailed 12-9.
- This series began in 2002, when Binghamton joined America East.
- April 2, 2016: UNH 9, at Binghamton 8 (OT) • Recap • Box Score
Win and We're In
- The playoff picture is very clear for UNH and Binghamton – the winner advances to the America East Championship tournament; the other team is eliminated from postseason contention.
- Entering the weekend, the conference records are: UMBC (3-1), Binghamton (2-2) and UNH (2-3).
- With a win Saturday, the Wildcats would be the No. 4 seed in the tourney, regardless of the outcome of the rest of the conference games because…
- If UNH, Binghamton and UMBC tie for third place at 3-3, UBMC wins the three-way tiebreaker (No. 3 seed) and UNH then wins the head-to-head vs. Binghamton for the No. 4 seed.
- If UNH and Binghamton tie for fourth place at 3-3, the Wildcats win the head-to-head tiebreaker.
- If UNH and UMBC tie for third place at 3-3, the Retrievers win the head-to-head tiebreaker for the No. 3 seed; UNH is then No. 4.
