Pogue, Healy Lead 'Cats to 3rd Straight win at Bryant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Senior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) scored a season-high 23 points and senior forward Olivia Healy (Reading, Mass.) had a career-high 20 to lead the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team to its third straight win, 74-65, at Bryant University on Tuesday.
The Wildcats improved their record to 3-1 and are 2-4 against the Bulldogs. Bryant is 0-4.
Pogue made 10 of her 13 field goal attempts and had three rebounds. Limited by foul trouble, she did her damage in 21 minutes. Healy was nine-for-15 from the floor.
NEXT UP
The Wildcats play La Salle at the Lehigh Tournament in Bethlehem, Pa. on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. They play either Fairfield or Lehigh in the tournament the next day.
UNH's next home game is Wednesday, Nov. 29 vs. Colby-Sawyer at 5 p.m. The Wildcats face Northeastern at home on Friday, Dec. 1 at 5 p.m.
They have two other nonconference home games remaining before New Year's. Manhattan College comes to town for a game Saturday, Dec. 9 and Cornell is in for a game on Friday, Dec. 29 at 7 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS
Senior guard Brittni Lai (Irvington, N.Y.) had a career-high 10 assists to lead the Wildcats. She also contributed five points and three steals.
Pogue's previous high for the season was 18 points. Healy's high as a Wildcat was 19 points on Jan. 19 against Maine. A transfer from Richmond, her career high is 22 points for Richmond against St. Louis in a game on Jan. 22, 2014.
Senior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) scored 10 points and led UNH with 10 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Healy had seven points and Healy six to get the Wildcats off to a 22-14 lead after one period.
Pogue had eight points and Healy five in the second quarter as UNH opened as much as a 16-point lead late in the second period. The 'Cats were up 40-29 at the half.
UNH had the lead up to 60-46 after the third period.
The Wildcats made 28 of their 60 (46.7 percent) field goals in the game.
