Borkan Grabs 11 Saves as Women's Soccer Falls, 1-0, in OT to Gardner-Webb

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Senior captain Mimi Borkan (Medfield, Mass.) made 11 saves in net as the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team earned its first loss of the season to Gardner-Webb University, 1-0, in overtime Friday night at Wake Forest University's Demon Deacon Challenge.

The match was very close all the way through to the overtime period with shots at 17-16 in favor of the Runnin' Bulldogs. The Wildcats got the first shot in extra time on a header attempt by sophomore Gaby Dorsey (Hubertus, Wis.) but it was corralled by Brown, the keeper.
GWU recorded four straight shots, one was saved, two were high and the final one was a one-timer in the top corner from about 25-yards out by Arey.
This was the Wildcats' fourth overtime contest so far this season as they recently handled Manhattan College, 1-0, two games prior. UNH earned its first loss of the season which matches last year's five-game start.
