THE MATCHUP
UNH has a 17-19 lifetime record against Harvard University. The series began in 1978 and the teams met annually from 1987-2011, but have not played since then. The Crimson have won each of the last two meetings – 8-6 at home in 2011 and 10-9 in double overtime at UNH in 2010. The Wildcats prevailed 11-9 in overtime at Harvard (Cumnock Turf) in 2009.

Senior attacker Nicole Grote recorded a career-high eight points vs. Holy Cross (March 2) by matching her personal bests in both goals (four) and assists (four). The eight points marked the highest total by a Wildcat since April 6, 2013, when Laura McHoul tallied nine points (two goals, seven assists).

Laura McHoul climbed into a tie for seventh place on UNH's career points leaderboard with a goal vs. Fairfield on March 5. McHoul now has 179 career points, the same number that Liz Brickley amassed. Directly ahead of them is No. 6 Shaunna Kaplan (187).

Laura McHoul entered the 2016 season as UNH's record holder for career assists with 102; she supplanted Karen Geromini, who tallied 101 assists, as the record holder last season. McHoul tallied one assist each of the first five games to increase that total to 107.

Harvard utilized an 8-0 scoring run in the first half to break away from Columbia University and pick up a 15-6 win in its Ivy League opener at Columbia on March 5. The Crimson kept the Lions scoreless for more than 30 minutes overlapping the first and second halves. Junior attack Marisa Romeo led all players with four goals and five points. Sophomore midfielder Julia Glynn led the team in assists with three while also scoring a goal for four points. Megan Hennessey led the team in ground balls with six. Senior goalie Kelly Weis made seven saves to earn her third victory of the season. The Crimson outshot the Lions, 28-16, and owned the edge in ground balls, 25-18. Harvard went 15-of-15 on clear attempts to make the team a perfect 53 of 53 on clears this season.

The Harvard women's lacrosse team is averaging 14.0 goals and 33.0 shots per game. Romeo is the team's leading scorer with 10 goals and is atop the shots leaderboard with 22, 16 of those being on net for a 72.7 shots on goal percentage.

Glynn is the team's leader in points by accumulating eight goals and six assists for 14 points; she also had a team-high eight caused turnovers. She has collected eight ground balls and won five draw controls, which is good for second and third, respectively.
