GAME RECAP
- Harvard led 4-2 at halftime and opened the second half on a 7-1 run to build an 11-3 lead with 14:22 remaining in regulation.
- UNH closed the game on an 8-1 run, including the last six goals of the game spanning the last six minutes.
- Marissa Gurello (Manorville, N.Y.) ignited the run with a goal at 10:17 and Devon Croke (Norwell, Mass.) scored a free-position goal 37 seconds later to lift the Wildcats within 11-5.
- UNH won the ensuing draw control, but Harvard goalie Keeley Weis denied Laura McHoul (Westwood, Mass.) from close range. The Crimson went the length of the field and Audrey Todd scored to give the home team a 12-5 lead at 7:36.
- Krissy Schafer (Longmeadow, Mass.) finished a feed from Nicole Grote (Ellicott City, Md.) at 5:56, UNH won the draw and Carly Wooters (White Plains, N.Y.) scored on a free position at 4:07 to close the gap to 12-8.
- Harvard gained possession of the next draw control, but Kate Clancy (Barrington, R.I.) made a big save against Julia Lennon and Devan Miller (Bristol, R.I.) corralled the ground ball with just under two minutes to play.
- Croke was fouled by Weis to set up a free position, and she scored into the empty net to trim the deficit to 12-9 at 1:30.
- McHoul won the battle for the next draw control and that led to Gurello's free position on the right side of the 8-meter arc and she ripped a shot into the upper-right corner to make it 12-10 with 53 seconds on the clock.
- Harvard gained possession but threw the ball out of play across the end line to give New Hampshire possession with 32 seconds to play. The 'Cats advanced the ball the length of the field and Grote, once again set up behind the net on the right side, found Schafer in front for a goal and 12-11 score with nine seconds to go.
- On the decisive draw control, the ball bounced on the turf a few times before finding its way toward the Crimson's attack zone and an unmarked Julia Glynn, and time ran out on the Wildcats.
- UNH scored the first goal of the game but Harvard closed the half on a 4-1 run to take a two-goal lead into halftime.
- Clancy kept UNH close in the first half with a strong six-save effort.
