WHAT JUST HAPPENED
New Hampshire outscored Monmouth University 6-3 in the second half to rally for a 9-7 victory Wednesday afternoon at Monmouth Stadium. Trailing 4-3 at halftime, UNH opened the second half with three consecutive goals to take a 6-4 lead. Monmouth pulled within one goal twice – 6-5 at 18:27 and 7-6 at 15:22 before the Wildcats built their largest lead of the game, 9-6, with 9:33 remaining. The Hawks closed within two goals with 6:28 on the clock but did not record a shot on goal the rest of the way. Sophomore goalkeeper Kate Clancy finished with eight saves.

The teams finished even in both shots (22) and turnovers (14). UNH had the edge in ground balls (19-15) while Monmouth doubled up the 'Cats in draw controls (12-6).

Laura McHoul claimed sole possession of No. 7 on UNH's career points leaderboard with the first of her four points March 12 at Harvard; she entered that game tied with Liz Brickley at 179 points.

Kate Clancy returns to reprise her role as starting goalkeeper. Through eight games, she has stopped 76 of 163 shots on goal for an 11.27 GAA and .466 save percentage.
