DURHAM, N.H. – Junior guard forward Brittni Lai (Irvington, N.Y.) poured in 19 points to lead three players in double figures to pace the UNH women's basketball team to its third straight win, 59-51, over Boston University in Case Gymnasium on Monday night.
Lai also contributed six assists and four steals to the winning effort. Junior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) added 15 points and junior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) chipped in with 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
The Wildcats upped their record to 4-2 on the season. BU fell to 1-5.

The Wildcats play at Northeastern on Thursday at 7 p.m. and at Siena on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
They open a three-game home-stand with a game against Yale on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. in Lundholm Gymnasium. They also play home games against Sacred Heart on Sunday, Dec. 18 and against Central Connecticut State on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Wildcats roared back after falling behind 10-0 to open the game.
UNH's foul shooting helped late. The Wildcats made 13 of their 15 free throws in the game, led by Lai and Fogarty, who each made all six of their free throws.
Fogarty had three of UNH's four blocked shots in the game.
Junior guard Aliza Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) had seven points, six rebounds and four assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
After spotting BU the early lead, the Wildcats proceeded to quickly work their way right back into it. Down 16-6 late in the first period, they ran off 15 straight points to move in front 21-16 with 6:26 left in the first half. UNH led 26-22 at halftime.
Lai had 10 points and four assists at the half and Pogue had seven points and five assists.
The Wildcats added to their lead with a 15-12 edge in the third quarter and it was 41-34 with a period to go.
BU tied it at 44-44 with 4:32 left in the fourth quarter.
Junior guard Peyton Booth (Wadsworth, Ohio) hit a three-pointer from the right corner for 47-44 with 3:58 left and UNH led the rest of the way.
Lai and Fogarty finished it off with four foul shots each down the stretch.
