Fogarty, Pogue Put Up Matching 13s to lead Women's Hoop Team

DURHAM, N.H. – Junior center Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior forward Kat Fogarty (Westminster, Mass.) scored 13 points each to lead the UNH women's basketball team to a 73-40 win over Wagner College on Saturday night in Lundholm Gymnasium.
Fogarty led UNH with nine rebounds and Pogue was close behind with eight. Senior guard Kristen Anderson (Greene, Maine) scored 11 points off the bench and had five assists in her 17 minutes.
It was the second straight win for the Wildcats, who improved to 3-2 on the season. Wagner fell to 1-4.
UP NEXT
The Wildcats hit the road for their next three games. They are at Boston University on Monday at 7 p.m., at Northeastern on Thursday at 7 p.m. and at Siena on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
They return to Lundholm Gymnasium and open a three-game home-stand with a game against Yale on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. They play Lundholm games against Sacred Heart on Sunday, Dec. 18 and against Central Connecticut State on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Wildcats got contributions from throughout the lineup. They outrebounded Wagner 49-29 and made 31 of their 69 field goals (44.9 percent).
The Wildcats had 19 offensive rebounds to Wagner's seven and led the visitors in second chance points, 24-3. They outscored the Seahawks 28-6 on points in the paint.
UNH also had a 33-9 edge in bench points, led by Anderson.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UNH opened a 16-5 lead by the end of the first period and methodically kept adding to it at each of the next couple of quarter breaks.
Anderson came off the bench to give UNH a huge boost in the second period. She made three of her four three-point shots and scored all her points in that quarter.
The Wildcats won the first three periods by 11, 12 and 13 points for a 61-25 lead with one period to go. Wagner had a 15-12 advantage in the final period.
