Women’s Soccer Hits the Road for Harvard (Sept. 17; 7 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team aims to snap its two-game losing streak at Jordan Field against Harvard University on Thursday, Sept. 13 (7 p.m.).
LAST TIME OUT FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE (2-3-3)
New Hampshire most recently fell 2-1 to Lafayette College (Sept. 13) in overtime. Senior Gabrielle Sloan (Stow, Mass.) recorded her first goal of the season on two shots. Sophomore Jackie Feraco (Holden, Mass.) earned her first career assist on the goal. Sophomore Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) totaled four shots, followed by senior Caroline Murray (New Canaan, Conn.) who notched three. Junior Mimi Borkan (Medfield, Mass.) collected two saves on the afternoon.
LAST TIME OUT FOR HARVARD (1-4-1)
Most recently, the Crimson dropped a 1-0 decision at No. 25 William & Mary (Sept. 13). Harvard outshot the Tribe by a 16-11 margin, including eight shots on goal. Juniors Margaret Purce and Rachel Garcia led the effort with two shots on goal each. Junior goalkeeper Lizzie Durack recorded one save in 90 minutes of action.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Murphy leads all Wildcats with nine points on the strength of four goals and one assist, and 33 shots. Murray ranks second in points (three) with three assists and 22 shots. Sloan and freshman Kelsey Pratt (Washingtonville, N.Y.) are tied for second in goals scored with one apiece. Borkan, who has started all eight games in net, holds a goals against average of 1.17 and has made 37 stops for a .787 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON
Harvard enters Thursday's contest after three road games against ranked opponents. Junior Joan Fleischman leads the team in points (three) with a goal and an assist. Purce is tied for the lead in goals with one, and has accumulated 27 shots (12 on net) to lead the team. Senior Brooke Dickens is also tied for the team-high in goals with one. In net, Durack has started all six games with a 1.22 goals against average, registering a .759 save percentage on 22 saves.
ALL-TIME RECORD VS. HARVARD
Harvard holds the all-time lead against New Hampshire, with a 19-4-2 overall record. In last year's matchup on Bremner Field, the 'Cats fell 1-0 in double-overtime. The Wildcats traveled to Cambridge, Mass. and pulled out a 2-1 victory in 2013. That win was the first triumph against the Crimson since 1999 when UNH earned a 1-0 win at home.
FRESHMEN FREQUENTS
Sydney Griffin (Hinsdale, Ill.), Gaby Dorsey (Hubertus, Wis.) and Kelsey Davis (Washingtonville, N.Y.) have received the most minutes as freshmen this season. Griffin has six starts with seven shots (two on goal) in 315 minutes. Dorsey has played in all eight contests with two starts in the last two games. Davis has totaled five games with one shot on goal in 56 minutes.
