Ella Guilfoil started her season strong this past weekend by winning three individual events as the UNH swimming and diving team opened its season at Vermont on Oct. 21. Ella was the fastest swimmer in the 100 backstroke (57.72 seconds), 200 back (2:04.91) and 200 IM (2:08.35).

She was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay team that earned the first-place title with a time of 1:45.65.

With a total of 640.7 overall points in the meet against Vermont, Ella was awarded the high point recognition for her performance.

The UNH swim and dive team will return to action on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28 for the home-opener versus Central Connecticut on Family, Friends & Faculty Weekend. Friday's meet begins at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 10 a.m.
