Freshman defensive end Josiah Silver (Hampton, Va.) collected a whopping four sacks to lead the defense, but the University of New Hampshire football team lost 28-3 to Rhode Island on Saturday afternoon in Meade Stadium.
Two of Silver's sacks resulted in Rhode Island fumbles. It was the second straight game that he forced a pair of fumbles. He's up to 10.5 sacks for the season.
Silver also led the Wildcats in tackles with 11 and was named the CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week on Monday.
The Wildcats close out the season with a home game against the University of Maine on Saturday at 1 p.m.
