Isac Hedström and Hunter Brayton Named to All-East Alpine Teams

Hedström earns first team honors and Brayton second team accolades.
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire sophomore Isac Hedström (Are, Sweden) and graduate student Hunter Brayton (Waterville Valley, N.H.) have earned EISA All-East Alpine honors. Hedström was named to the first team, while Brayton made the second team. Both Wildcats earned All-East accolades for the first time in their careers.
Hedström won the EISA slalom points championship this season. He earned three podiums during the year in the slalom placing first at the Colby Carnival, while he was second at the Dartmouth Carnival and second at the NCAA Qualifier. He ranked third overall in the East. Hedström was named the EISA Skier of the Week on Feb. 20.
Brayton ranked eighth overall in the East and just recently earned his first career podium with a second-place finish in the slalom at the NCAA East Regional/EISA Championships. He recorded eight top-10 finishes this season, including five top-five.
UNH will compete at the NCAA Championships on March 6-9 in Steamboat Springs, Colo. The giant slalom is on March 6, the 7.5K skate is on March 7, the slalom is on March 8 and the 20K classic is on March 9.
